seeing all sorts of posts today celebrating women…
made me wonder about the question – what is a woman?
do we go by what the online dictionary states?
– (noun) an adult female human being
do we fall in line with the thinking that if you feel feminine or like a woman (whether you are or not) makes you a woman?
Here is my thought on all of this…
my own idea of what a woman is can be found wrapped up in Biblical femininity & the Proverbs 31 woman is definitely someone to look up to regarding being a strong yet feminine woman
but I had to define what being a strong female is in my own words in our time…
(we all build our own little pictures of what this woman should be)
I see a strong feminine woman as being physically strong & healthy (but not someone you have to wonder about whether it is male or female)
I see a strong feminine woman as someone who knows how to dress & carry herself – not as an object of desire, but exuding elegance, beauty & femininity
I see a strong feminine woman as someone wise & willing to learn
I see a strong feminine woman as one who cares for those around her
I see a strong feminine woman as one whose love radiates for her husband & children
I see a strong feminine woman as the one who’s described as the suitable helper – Ezer Kenegdo
Now here is the incredible part I NEED to highlight!!
Ezer Kenegdo is used to describe Eve, the first woman God created.
Ezer Kenegdo is more than just being the help, being supportive & giving assistance…
It is MUCH more than that!
Ezer Kenegdo when found in scripture, speaks of the strength of warriors, of empowerment & helping when the one who is helped cannot be helped by themselves (it also speaks about God being that helper)
a reminder & pointer to the Holy Spirit who is also described as bringing insight, wisdom, understanding & help to those in need
Ezer Kenegdo is more about a partnership & standing strong together as equals, all in order to be able to rule & reign together
that is the description I want to be found in…
to be a feminine woman showing forth God’s glory, being the Ezer Kenegdo He has created me to be for my husband
until the next post…
